Note: There are a number of terms in French that do not translate directly into English and so the French language terms are used as the familiar form; these are: "Produits du terroir" refers to produce grown on local farms. "Méchoui" refers to festive gathering centered around a barbeque of a whole carcass of a young animal (usually lamb or pork) roasted on a spit over charcoal embers.
